Melisa Glorighian is a law clerk at Encore Law Group PC focusing on international and corporate transactions law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity. Melisa assists with the representation of a broad range of clients from mature and public companies to early-stage startups. She is well versed in the intricacies of planning and raising business capital via seed and venture financing. Melisa has drafted both formation and dissolution documents for business entities, including shareholder, profit participation, asset purchase and repurchase, private equity, venture capital, debt financing and real estate transactional agreements.
Before joining Encore Law, Melisa was a law clerk at O’Melveny & Myers LLP and DLA Piper in Silicon Valley where she focused on venture capital and corporate transactions in the technology emerging growth companies sector. Before coming to the United States, Melisa worked as an associate from 2009 to 2014 at M & M Bomchil, a Buenos Aires law firm, where she worked on mergers and acquisition transactions in the banking, energy, insurance, pharmaceutical, retail and commercial sectors.
Melisa earned her J.D. from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2009, a first-tier law school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She also earned her LLM from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she was a fellowship recipient with a focus in Corporate, Venture Capital and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Melisa is currently pursuing her admittance to the State Bar of California. She is currently attending the Stanford Continuing Studies Program with a focus in business and finance.
Melisa is also an entrepreneur. She co-founded with her sister and mother Vestidor de Reinas, a leather handbags manufacturing company in 2006.
She is native in Armenian and Spanish and fluent in English.
